1. The New York Times: 

Abbreviated as NYT, the New York Times is one of the oldest news journals in the United States. The excellent newspaper which is running since 1851 was founded by Henry J. Raymond (Politician and Journalist) and George Jones (Banker) is owned by The New York Times Company and is being published by Arthur Ochs Sulzberger. NYT has presented an impersonal and stable trend dissimilar to the usual sensationalism. The paper mainly gives three sections viz. news, opinion, and features.

2. China Daily: –

Founded in 1981, China Daily is one of the most circulated newspapers in the world. The editorial office of the China Daily which is owned by the Communist Party of China is in Beijing. The paper consists of seven sections which are Prime: Main Headlines, China: Domestic news, Life: Entertainment and events, Focus, View, Business, and Sports.

3. The Guardian: 

Also known as Manchester Guardian, The Guardian is a British daily newspaper which comes with an interesting supplement called G2. It might not be the most circulated news journal but has been awarded the National Newspaper of the Year in 1998, 2005, 2010 and 2013 by the British Press Awards.The journal is reputed in the world because of its constantly maintained quality. 

 

4. The Asahi Shimbun: 

The broadsheet daily newspaper which was founded in 1879 is one of the oldest news journals in Japan. Owned by Murayama and Ueno, the newspaper has a large circulation. Moreover, the Shimbun Foundation also established an award known as the Asahi Award for Art Scholars devoting to Japanese culture.

5. The Wall Street Journal:

Largest in circulation in the United States, The Wall Street Journal or The Journal which is owned by News Corp has been printing continuously since 1889. Gerard Baker being the chief editor focuses on the independence and impartiality of the reporters of the Wall Street Journal.

6. The Washington Post: 

The paper is known to be the best in the newspaper history of America and also is the most circulated. Being published in Washington, D.C. was founded in 1877. The Washington has been presenting great political covers and is unique in its own self. Being published by Fred Ryan, the newspaper has been given47 Pulitzer Prizes.

7. The Daily Mail: 

The journal comes in a Tabloid format and has an average circulation. It was founded 121 years ago in 1896 and is being edited by Paul Dacre. The Mail gives its editors the freedom but has also been criticized lately. The Daily Mail has been awarded the National Newspaper of the Year in 1995, 1996, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2011, and 2016 by the British Press Awards.

 

8. USA Today: 

The Gannett Company owned this daily newspaper was founded by Al Neuharth in 1982. USA Today is known for presenting the reports and covers in easy to read and understand language. The paper mainly features sections: News, Money, Sports, and Life.

9. The Dawn: 

The Dawn is not only the oldest and the most famous but also the most circulated news journal in Pakistan. It was founded byQuaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Delhi in 1941 and is owned by the Dawn Group of Newspapers. It has a flexible and progressive political alignment also became the first one to oppose the death penalty to be resumed.

10. Los Angeles Times: 

One of the oldest newspapers of all times, The Los Angeles was founded in 1881.The Los Angeles is owned by Tronc and has headquarters in LA, California only. In 2014, the Times had won over 40 Pulitzer Prizes in reporting for the Watts Riots and the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
