Guinness World Records formerly known as The Guinness Book of Records is a reference book which is published annually to register the record on national as well as international level. With the eminent growth of Guinness world records the book earned much popularity and became the best sellers of all time and hence this led to the formation of an International committee whose main function was to verify the authenticity of made and broken records.
1) Fastest side-wheelie lap
Chinese stunt driver Ham Yue recently teamed up with Nurburgring Nordschleife to create a world records title on one of the most craziest race track in the world. Ham driving a Mini Cooper recorded the fastest side wheelie lap in an un-believable 45 minutes and 59.11 seconds. Ham drove the car to 73 turns which isn’t easy while driving four wheeler that to without letting his right two wheels touch the ground.
2) US Woman row solo across Pacific Ocean
Sonya Baumstein a US citizen started rowing from Choshi to reach San-Francisco and thus became the first woman to row the Pacific Ocean from Japan to United State. The journey includes rowing for 14-16 hours a day and a distance of about 6000 miles approx (9600 km). Earlier she had also rowed from Atlantic Ocean to Caribbean at the age of 29 years.

3) Russian Cosmonaut creates record for career time spent in space
Gennady Padalka beats old record of 803 days, nine hours and 41 minutes and aims to complete 1000 days in space until his return. This is Padalka’s fifth trip into space. US company SpaceX latter send an Un-manned Dragon rocket to resupply the space station with two tons of food and equipments.
4) Canadian sets new Hover board flight distance
Catalin Alexandru Duru flew Hover board over Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada. He flew Hoverboard for almost 275.9m until his batteries failed. In his flight over he showed the humans can stand and control a hover board with their feet.
5) Fastest mono-wheel motorcycle
UK Mono-wheel Team and Kevin Scott set record for driving a mono-wheel motorcycle at 98.464km/hr(61.18mph). One of the challenging parts of mono-wheel riders is that they have to avoid a “gerbil incident”- which is accidentally revolving around with the outer wheel rather being in a seated position at the base of the vehicle.
6) Extinguishing Fire
Bret Pasek of US, achieved the most astonishing feet by extinguishing 54 fire torches in 30 seconds. Bret got inspired from a man in his hometown Minnesota eating fire in some fair. Later he made it at his greatest achievement and now performs this act in stage show at Minnesota festival.
7) Longest Nail in world
The world’s longest fingernails record is held to Lee Redmond (USA), who started to grow them in 1979 and carefully manicured them to reach a total length of 8.65 m (2 ft 11 inch) as measured at a event in Madrid, Spain. Lee says that it was difficult as when the nails grow bigger they started twisting which made difficult for her to maintain. Later Lee lost her nails in an accident in 2009.
8) Stretchiest Skin
Garry turner a man from UK created a record for stretching the skin of his stomach to 6.25 inches. Garry suffered from a rare medical disease known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which a connective tissue disorder where the collagen becomes defective and also includes the loosening of the skin and hyper-mobile joints. From early age Turner knew that his skin was some kind of different from others. Further Turner accepted that stretching his skin doesn’t hurt him at all.
9) Longest Distance by lifting a Table with Teeth
Georges Christian from Luxembourg, the man strongest pair of tooth in the entire world ran 38-feet and 8-inches while carrying a 26-pound table and a 110-pound woman sitting on it. The most shocking part is that he carried the entire table on his mouth and the balance was so perfect that he never felt like falling.

10) Farthest arrow shot using feet
Nancy Siefker from USA set the world records for farthest arrow shot into the target using his pair of legs. The target she hit was 6.09 m (20 ft). The target guidelines of not more than 12 inches in diameter further the shot taken by Nancy was hit the target measuring just 5.5 inches in diameter. Thus making her shot quite effective compared to the difficulty that she shot with her legs.
